The Expanded Marketing Mix:

Product

any product / services being offered

Price

the price charged & terms associated with sale

Place

the distribution & logistics function that needs to be considered in making the product / services available

Promotion

promotion and communication activities associated with marketing the product and services

People

- Employee of an organization (must be considered as an element of marketing strategies.

Process-

>Steps and sequences to all work activities

>Involves procedures, task schedule, mechanism, activities and routines

Provision of customer service.

- A system recognized to provide a continuing link between the time that the order is placed and the goods are received within the objective of satisfying customer’s needs on long term basis.

Classification

1.pure tangible goods ( physical products, shampoo, detergent without any accompanying services)

2. A tangible product with accompanying services ( tangible product accompanied by one or more services – buying automobile – free service first 1000 km )

3. Major service with accompanying minor goods and services ( banking services -saving account by ATM card for withdrawals)

4.Pure service consists primarily of a service- haircut, saloon, spa, and counselor.
